Frequently Answers & Questions

The sooner you start, the better. We usually appreciate a day’s notice in advance, but we realise that this isn’t always possible. As a result, you can contact us anytime you need a skip bin. Unless otherwise addressed with a member of our customer service support team at 0450 724 505, we will usually supply the bin the same day.

For all jobs and conditions, we have a wide range of bins open. Our bins vary in size from 2 to 8 cubic metres. Please call our friendly customer service representative today at 0450 724 505 to discuss the best bin size for your work. You may also use the “BIN SIZES” button to determine the exact measurements of the bins that will meet your needs.

Since we at Jatt Skip Bin Hire believe in building long-term relationships with our customers, we offer our services seven days a week. Bins can be placed on your driveway or in your yard without incurring any additional fees; however, bins placed on nature strips, roads, or other high-traffic areas would incur additional fees due to council permit fees.

Customers can hold the bin for a period of 3-4 days, including the day of delivery. If you use the receptacle for a longer period of time, you will be charged an extra fee, which you can discuss with our friendly staff at 0450 724 505.

After getting a call from you at 0450 724 505, we will pick up the bin as soon as possible.

We understand that every job has unfortunate obstacles and unpredictable situations that can cause work deadlines to be delayed in ways that are difficult to anticipate and monitor. As a result, our company’s policy allows for a one-time delay, but we also expect our client to notify us a day ahead of time in order to maintain a positive customer relationship. Otherwise, an extra fee is incurred at all times without exception.

THE PAYMENT FOR YOUR BIN HIRE IS MADE ON THE DAY OF DELIVERY. Our customers can pay in a variety of ways. We accept:

* Cash on delivery…
* Visa card, Master Card, American Express
* and Cheque payments.
* Over the phone with your choice of Visa or Mastercard credit or debit cards are also acceptable.
* Bank transfer and Paypal is also available.
* Accounts can be set up for approved applicants.

The following items MUST NOT be put in the Skip BIN:

  • NO Asbestos
  • NO Liquids (Oil, paint, etc)
  • NO Hazardous or Toxic waste.
  • NO Hot Ashes
  • NO Concrete Dust
  • NO car tyres
  • NO gas bottles

Please note, a fee will apply if any of these materials are found in one of our Skip Bins.

Anything from green waste and household products to building and demolition waste, such as concrete, bricks, soils, tiles, and carpets, can be disposed of in a skip tank. “CONDITION” These materials should go in the bottom of the bin, while light garbage should go on top. Plastics from the home, furniture, glass, and white goods are always welcome. Mattress disposal would cost an extra $20, according to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency).

The bins SHOULD NEVER BE FILLED OVER THE RIM IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. It is against VICTORIA’s strict transportation laws to move an overfilled container, and if found, our drivers face stiff fines and demerit points. If you need an additional bin, Jatt Skip Bin Hire is always happy to provide one at a lower cost; however, if the bins are overfilled, the driver is expected to remove the excess prior to the bin collection. If no one is present when the skip is collected, the driver may, at his will, attempt to remove the excess material and position it in a pile as close to the skip as possible. If the excess trash is not removed from the top and a skip bin is left for an extended period of time, you will be charged extra fees such as rental, labour, and additional transportation.
